Every day after school, Favio would join his family at their cut-flower nursery in the Salinas Valley to help with the business. Raised in Monterey County, Favio started learning how to cultivate flowers at the age of 13. Over the years, he continued to return home to support with the nursery during his summer breaks and winter holidays at San Jose State University. Favio’s early years in small business and agriculture inspired him to earn a degree in Business Administration Finance.  

After graduation, Favio began working in the private sector to gain experience in various industries. He performed fraud detection at HSBC, N.A. and conducted audits across the agriculture, construction, wholesale, and retail sectors while at Overland Solutions Inc. His path has connected him with many local businesses as well as accounting and bookkeeping firms to coordinate and complete audits. 

What has remained ever present in Favio’s life has been his relationship with local agriculture. With his roots in his family’s cut-flower business combined with his business experience, he’s motivated to assist small farmers and ranchers realize their aspirations and thrive.
